Nancy Miller Woods, 83, of Oxford passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Granville Health System.
Born in Hawkins County, TN, on December 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Schubert M Miller and Maxine Ball Miller.
Those who knew Nancy or happened to have seen her garden in Oxford - will know her love of plants and flowers. She would regularly buy unloved plants from the Lowe's in Henderson on sale and bring them back to life – planting them in her yard or in pots around the house. We ask, in her memory, that in lieu of flowers or food – that you simply buy and plant a flower – either in your own garden, a friend's, a neighbor's, or even a stranger's. The family would like to extend their personal thank you to the ICU team, the 3rd floor nursing team, doctors, and transitional care at Granville Medical System.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Rev. Bruce Beck will officiate.
Survivors include one son, Stuart Woods; two grandchildren, Isabelle Woods and Ethan Woods; two sisters, Marty Finkel and Hannah Van Horn; special friends Betty and Keith Galloway and numerous friends, neighbors, and Oxford acquaintances. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Schubert Miller.
