Nathaniel Anthony "Nate" Bobbitt, 18, of Henderson, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Born in Vance County, he was the son of Howard Anthony Bobbitt, and the late Shannon Virginia King.
Nate was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was also a member of the baseball team for his school at Crossroads Christian School. There, he was lovingly known by his teammates and other classmates as "Bobby". He was presently attending Liberty University.
Surviving are his father, Howard Anthony Bobbitt, and step-mother, Brandy Bobbitt; a grandmother, Dianne Bobbitt; three step-siblings, Ceanna Pendergrass, Luke Pendergrass, and Shielle Pendergrass; four aunts, Pam Speed (Brian), Debbie Eubanks, Cindy Owens (Todd), and Vickie Short (Andy); six cousins, Courtnie Estave (Danny), Ryan Speed (Brooke), Morgan Boyd (Thomas), Carissa Rooker (Adam), Delaney Short, and Haven Short; and many special second cousins. Alongside his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Howard Bobbitt, maternal grandmother, Velvet, maternal great-grandparents, Reggie and Lillian Roberts; and one cousin, Ashton Grissom.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ricky Easter. Interment will immediately follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service from 12-1:45 p.m. at the church, and then will visit following the graveside service in the fellowship hall of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Howard Bobbitt, Ryan Speed, Thomas Boyd, Danny Estave, Jon Owens, and Todd Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Crossroads Christian School Baseball team.
