Nell Howard Blackwell, 87, of Granville County, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at Granville Medical Center.

Born in Granville County on October 2, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Maynard Howard and Ethel Wynne.

She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Reverend Zach Campbell.

Survivors include one son, Michael Blackwell (Angie); two granddaughters, Tiffany Livengood (Michael) and Jennifer Blackwell; one great granddaughter, Madalyn Livengood; one sister, Joyce Capps, several nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bradsher Blackwell and one brother, Cecil Howard

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford and other times at her home.
