Nell C. Stallings

Nell Louise Carter Stallings, 90, of Henderson, NC, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home.

Born in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late William Newell Carter, and Mary Frances Smelley Carter.

Mrs. Stallings was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Denton (Terry) and Cindy Stallings; two sons, John Stallings (Kathy) and Ricky Stallings (Robin), two grandchildren, Ashley Denton and Jonathan Stallings, two great-grandchildren, Lucas Stallings and Jacob Stallings; a special niece Linda Thomas; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family. Alongside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Stallings Sr., five sisters, and eight brothers.

A funeral service will be held at Westwood Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Daniel Blasky, and Bobby Jackson. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 10-11:00 a.m., at Westwood Pentacostal Holiness Church. All other times they will be at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Matthews, Joe Pegram, Lee Jordan, Charles Wilson, Dennis Paschall, and DJ Matthews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 2152, Henderson, NC 27536, and Unity Baptist Church, 6348 NC 96 Hwy W., Youngsville, NC 27596.
