Nicholas A. West

Nicholas Allen West 31, of Henderson, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of Morris Allen West and the late Alisa Ellis West.

Nicholas was an avid hunter and fisherman that truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was a former member of Carey Baptist Church and Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department. He had a love for animals, especially his dogs Nugget and Scrappy.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Henderson. Conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Michelle West; two sisters, Kiersten Spence and Kindell Keeton; two brothers, Christian Keeton (Lauren) and Damion Spence; grandmother, Sandra Hope; former stepmother, Linda Gill West; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Samantha Keeton; paternal grandparents, Benjamin West and Vonda Springer; and two cousins, Kenneth Roberson and Hannah Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Sossamon Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
