Obituary

Patricia Autrey Garcia, 68, of Creedmoor, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Oxford, North Carolina, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Albert and Ilean Autrey. She lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. A hardworking and generous woman, Patricia found joy in serving others and was a faithful believer who loved the Lord. Her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life and was evident in the kindness, compassion, and grace she extended to everyone she met.

Patricia shared her life with Jose Garcia Padilla. Together they built a loving family that became the center of her world. She is lovingly survived by her children: Christie Lewis; Regina Terry (Willie); Angie Bradberry (Wayne); Angela Garcia; Alfredo Garcia (Susan); Jesus Garcia (Lisa); and Maria Garcia. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Victor Garcia.

As the eldest daughter of nine children, Patricia lovingly embraced the role of caregiver and protector of her siblings, often caring for them as though they were her own. She is survived by her siblings: Albert "Bo" Autrey; Gene Autrey (Vicky); Mark Autrey (April); Rose Simpson (Mike); Ronnie Autrey; and Donnie Autrey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Autrey and Doug Autrey.

She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Patricia found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved most. She especially treasured the special bond she shared with her granddaughter and best friend, Khristian Jones. Whether they were thrift shopping together, sharing conversations, or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments brought her great happiness. She also loved traveling on girls' trips with family and friends, creating treasured memories filled with laughter, adventure, and love. Her warm smile, welcoming spirit, and generous heart made everyone she met feel like family.

Patricia will be remembered for her generous heart, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. Her life was a beautiful example of grace, perseverance, and compassion. Though her family grieves in her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home in Creedmoor, North Carolina. A celebration of Patricia's life will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at South Granville Memorial Gardens.

Patricia's legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
