Patricia W. Breedlove

Patricia "Patsy" White Breedlove, 85, of Henderson, NC died Thursday, August 8, 2024, at her home.

Born in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Helen Paschall and Claude Lee White.  She was the widow of Ernest Lowry Breedlove Sr.

Patsy served the Vance County School system as a bookkeeper, data entry specialist and secretary for over 30 years at both Clark St and Southern Vance schools. She was an officer in NCAEOP, active in the Red Hat Society, member of the Golden Agers Club, member of the Dashing Reds and she loved her Y Girls of Durham. She was an avid quilter who loved flowers and worked in her flower garden at home until she was no longer able to do so.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.  Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery.

Surviving is one daughter, Melanie B. Navarro (Alberto), two sons, Ernest L. Breedlove Jr. and Michael W. Breedlove (Beverly), five grandchildren; Alec Navarro, Esa Navarro, Michelle Breedlove, Megan Breedlove and Bridgette Howarth (Robert), six great-grandchildren; one sister; Shirley Pritchett, one brother; James White (Betty Jean), along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and one brother; Edward White.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home.  All other times, they will be at her home.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 and the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society at 165 US Hwy 158 Business, Henderson, NC 27537.
