Paulette
Mcfalls
April 18, 2023
Paulette Parham McFalls, 78, of Durham, NC departed this life to be with Jesus on April 18, 2023.
Born in Dinwiddie, VA, on March 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Noland Davis Parham and Sarah Elizabeth Eason Parham.
Paulette worked in grocery retail for over forty years. She was an amazing mom, and she adored her three children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and extended family
The highlight of her days was sitting in her sunroom watching Family Feud and her soap operas. She also loved playing Solitaire. All that knew her, knew that she loved her lipstick but not as much as she loved her phone! One of her cherished memories was her bi-monthly sleepover and meal with her grandson, Kyle. She enjoyed all her grandchildren and the years of memories with them. She regularly attended Immanuel Free Will Baptist Church in Durham. She grew up on a farm, although she didn't enjoy the "horn worms" from priming tobacco or laundry day due to her arm getting stuck in the old ringer washing machine. There are many great memories, like her love for Elvis. She loved to dance to fast music like "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis and she loved to do the twist by Chubby Checker.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Jim Turnbough.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Garland McFalls Sr.; three children, Beverly Ann Jennings (Daniel) of Roxboro, NC, Garland "Scooter" McFalls Jr. (Tiffany) of Durham, NC and Sherry McFalls Waller (Jimmy) of Durham, NC; six grandchildren, Jill, Christina, Danielle (Aaron), Kyle, Dawson and Austin; ten great grandchildren, Courtney, Brooke, Kayla, Jordan, Caydance, Eva, Jase, Waylon, Levi and Ellie; five siblings, Estelle Hogan, Rebecca Godwin, Noland Parham (Rebecca), Virginia Boone, Phillip Parham (Teresa), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved so dearly.
The family will receive friends, Friday, April 21, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Free Will Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Free Will Baptist Church, 2013 Ellis Rd., Durham, NC 27703.
Arrangements are by Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor. Online condolences may be made at sossamonfuneralhome.com.
