Pearl Lee Woodlief Orr, 92, of Henderson, NC, Vance County, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Newark, OH.

Born on October 27, 1931, in Henderson, NC, she was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, 11am at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow at Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

Pearl attended West End School and Henderson High School. She furthered her education at Henderson Business College. After her studies, Pearl dedicated her career to serving her community as the Vance County Emergency Management Coordinator before retiring. Pearl was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson, NC, where she worshipped faithfully. In her free time, Pearl taught Sunday School for 41 years. She found great joy in sharing her knowledge and faith with others. We will forever cherish the memories of Pearl Lee Woodlief Orr. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Rexrode (Ed), of New Bern, NC, one son, William Orr (Alice), of Pataskala, OH, one sister; Judy Dawkins of Fayetteville, NC, one brother; Lee Marshall (Susie) of Atlantic Beach, NC, four grandchildren; Tonya Galloway (Mitch), Craig Orr (Becca), Kat Brunnegraff (Matt), Phil Orr along with her five great-grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, E. Roscoe Orr, two sisters; Margaret Gannon, Ann Wheatley, her parents; William Edgar Woodlief and Reba Lee Marshall along with her aunt who raised her from two years of age, Pearl Woodlief Blackley.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Sossamon Funeral Home.
