Peggy S. Broome

Peggy Steed Broome, 80, of Henderson, NC passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Will Steed and Mary Bumgarner Steed.

Ms Peggy was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was the Hostess and Greeting Coordinator for several years. Peggy was very instrumental in the supporting of her husband's ministry, where she was always there for him and made certain he was where he needed to be, and his travel arrangements were taken care off.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Richardson and the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Surviving is her husband of thirty-two years, Pastor Tony Broome; one sister, Kaye Moss, two brothers, Johnny Steed (Faye) and Glenn Steed and she loved and adored all her nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy S. Fleming and one brother, Jerry Steed.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. All other times, they will be at her home.
