Peggy Daniel Clark, 87, of Henderson, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Carlton Daniel Sr and Beatrice Matthews Daniel. She was the widow of George Holt Clark.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she was the pastor’s secretary. She was a former member of Carey Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Carey Baptist Church. Conducted by Rev. Bruce Beck and Rev. Alan McAlister. Entombment will follow at Sunset Gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Lyn C. Wilson (Steve) and Paula C. Fisher (Mike); one son, Craig H. Clark (Melinda); five grandchildren, Steve Wilson Jr (Wendy), Matthew Fisher (Nicole), Allen Fisher (Katie), Deanna Moore (Max) and Trenton Clark (Ariel); eight great grandchildren, Abigail, Addison, Emily, Sawyer, Bryan, Garrett (Emily), Patrick and Ryan; one great great grandchild, Layton; two sisters, Ruth Deal (Mike) and Jo Pegram (Jerry); one sister-in-law, J.J. Daniel; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen Peoples and Lula Nell Daniel; one brother, R.C. Daniel Jr; and one brother-in-law, Sam Peoples.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. At other times, they will be at the home of Mike and Paula Fisher.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Wilson Jr, Matthew Fisher, Allen Fisher, Brad Pegram, Russ Pegram and Rob Pegram.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 178, Henderson, NC, 27536.
