Phyllis P Newton

Phyllis Parrish Newton – 53 of Henderson, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Bryant G. Parrish and Patricia Ann Fannon Parrish.

Phyllis was of the Christian faith.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Spence Family Cemetery. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Survivors include two sons, John Holland and Edward Holland; four sisters, Peggy Gay Hope (Steve), Willie Ryder, Beverly Keeter and Penny Hatchel; three brothers, Bryant Keith Parrish, Bradley "Scott" Parrish (Rhonda) and Bruce Allen Parrish Sr (Joanna); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Parrish and Pamela Clayton; and her significant other, Jeremy Pearce.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service. At other times they will be at the home of Bradley and Rhonda Parrish, 324 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Henderson, NC 27537.
