Rachel Davis Parrott, 75, of Creedmoor passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her home.
Born in Robeson County, NC on January 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Everette Miller Davis and Marion Ruth Townsend Davis.
Rachel was a member of Banks Methodist Church. She retired from Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner after thirty-two years of service. After retirement, she received her nursing degree and worked in multiple skilled nursing facilities. Rachel was a loving mom and dedicated Nana to all of her grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Banks Methodist Church. Rev. Anita James-Carnes will officiate.
Survivors include one daughter, Wendi Parrott Yancey (Franklin); one son, Samuel "Sam" Thomas Parrott III (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Nicolas Yancey, Dylan Yancey, Claire Yancey (Hunter), Hannah Parrott (Jonathan) and Emma Parrott; four sisters, Marion Herndon, Kathleen Tyner, Betty Nobles and Paula Bodenheimer (Chip); one brother, Edward Davis; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Gray and Lucy Hobgood and numerous cousins and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Samuel "Sammy" Parrott Jr.; one sister, Marie Craig and one brother, Everette Davis and one brother-in-law, Joe Herndon.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Banks Methodist Church.
