R. C. Creech Sr.

R.C. Creech Sr., 75, of Henderson, N.C. passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Nash County, N.C., and was the son of Dolly Mae Griffin Creech and Rubin Arch Creech Sr.

R.C. was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as an usher.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Warrenton.

Surviving is his wife of forty-eight years, Cathy Allen Creech; four sons; David Fulford (Kristen), R. C. Creech Jr. (Susan), Richard Creech (Jennifer), and Scott Creech (Cristy); two brothers, Julian Creech (Bonnie) and Ludie Creech (Judy); twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Jennifer Vaughan and Donna Crowder, along with three brothers, Thomas Creech, Claude Creech and Rubin Creech Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home.  All other times, they will be at his home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Joe Johnson, Bruce Harp, G.L. Roberson, Hunter Choplin, Dwight Pulley, Steve Pierce, Billy Gooch and J.D. Roberts.
