Reginald Grey Perkins – 81, of Oxford, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Earnest Durant Perkins and Alma Smart Perkins.

He was a longtime member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church. Reggie retired from Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA after many years of dedicated service. He was a beloved husband and a loving and compassionate daddy.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. A private interment will take place at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Peggy Ann Inscoe Perkins; one daughter, Lisa P. Burwell (William); one son, Craig Perkins; one sister, Celia Brown; four brothers, Wilbur Perkins (Barbara), Forrest Perkins, Bobby Perkins (Margaret) and Cordell Bradshaw (Louise); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Brown; and one brother, Raley Perkins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday one hour prior to the service at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford. The family kindly ask that mask or face covering of some kind be worn.
