Rev. Ronnie Moldan Lassiter, 84, of Henderson, N.C. passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at his home.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Leila May Reid Lassiter and Jessie James Lassiter. He was the widower of Helen Earline Manning Lassiter.

Ronnie retired from the Henderson Fire Department, where he served for many years. At his retirement he served as the Assistant Fire Chief. He was a member of the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as an Elder, taught a Sunday School Class. He received his Ministerial Licenses through the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He held several revivals at several local churches and held a Friday night prayer meeting for over thirty years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, where he served in Vietnam.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 12:00 Noon, at the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving are two children, Tara L. Harrell (David) and Michael Lassiter (Allison); along with three stepdaughters, Pamula Byrd (Larry), Joni S. White (Wayne) and Delphia Sams and one stepson, James Britt Sams; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Danny Lassiter. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the church.

Members of the Henderson Fire Department will serve as active pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers will be all members of the Henderson Fire Department and Vance County Fire and E.M.S.
