Robert "Bobby" Allen Moss Sr.

Robert "Bobby" Allen Moss Sr, 80, of Townsville, NC, passed away March 17, 2024, at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehab.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Robert Lassiter Moss and Annie Matthews Moss. He was a loving husband to his wife Edna Davis Moss.

Bobby was a member of the Townsville Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years, a lifetime member of Rock Spring Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and Sunday School Secretary, a member of the State Line Hunting Club and retired from J.P. Taylor Tobacco Company where he was the Quality Control Manager.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Rock Spring Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Gary Brummitt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, one daughter; Dianna Lynne Bettis, one son; Robert Allen Moss Jr. (Angela), four grandchildren; DJ Pegram, Maggi Moss, Brandon Moss, Bailey Moss, five great-grandchildren and two nieces; Kay Edwards and Teressa Leonhardt. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Clarence Matthews and one nephew; Terry Matthews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be DJ Pegram, Brandon Moss, Bailey Moss, Dwight Green, Virgil Twisdale and Dale Reese. Honorary Pallbearers serving will be the Townsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Flowers are accepted and donations may be made in his honor to the Townsville Volunteer Fire Department at PO Box 2, Townsville, NC 27584.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the burial and all other times at the home.
