Robert M. Raines

Robert Michael Raines, 76, of Nashville, NC died Friday, March 10,2023 at his home in Nashville, NC.

Born in Vance County on September 1, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert Royal Raines and Juanita Jones Raines.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Johnny Yount. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Michelle Raines Newton and Farrah Williams (Chris), one son, Buddy Raines (Lora); eight grandchildren, Justin, Cody, Abby, Brandon, Tyler, Brittany, Christopher and Kasey and six greatgrandchildren; one brother, Steve Raines (Linda), and several nieces and nephews and extended family members.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Raines.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 10:00-11:00, at Sossamon Funeral Home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Cody Newton, Justin Newton, Brandon Raines, Stephen Raines, Christopher Williams and Brittany Williams.
