Roberta Riddick Watkins King, 93, of 4715 Jacksontown Road, Manson, NC (in the Drewry Community) died Monday, September 22, 2014 at Maria Parham Medical Center.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late John Clardy Watkins Sr. and Nannie Florence Riddick Watkins. She was the widow of John Robert King.
Mrs. King was a retired employee of the Warren County Tax Office. She was a lifelong member of Young Memorial Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Memorial Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. Gerald Wilson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen W. Moore of Drewry, NC and Lucille W. Wilson of Wake Forest, NC; three nieces, Linda W. Kelly, Nancy W. Cannoy, and Lynn Whitmore Thomas; and five nephews, John C. Watkins III, William D. Watkins, Robert Watkins, Fred H. Wilson, and Nash Whitmore; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne W. Potkonski and Amy W. Whitmore; and three brothers, John C. Watkins Jr., George K. Watkins, and James L. Watkins.

The family will receive friends at the home, 4715 Jacksontown Road, Drewry.
