Roma P. Jones

Roma Pitman Jones, 82, of Henderson, NC died Sunday, April 10, 2022 at a local nursing home.

Born in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Jim Pitman and Helen Autry Pitman. She was the widow of Bernard Ray "Buddy" Jones.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Tungsten Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Joe Don Cooper and the Rev. Earnie Taylor. A private burial will be held following the service at Tungsten Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving is one daughter, Pamala Jacobs (Raymond); four sisters, Evelyn Dickerson, Betty Hite (Terry), Pat Hite (Edward) and Beverly Candler; one grandson, Haywood Inscoe, one great-grandson and one step-great granddaughter; and one brother, David E. Pitman Sr. (Shirley). Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Jones.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Serving as pall bearers will be David E. Pitman Jr., Jeffrey T. Pitman, Michael A. Hite, Eddie T. Hite, Leroy Beam, Richard Beam, Russell Murray and Billy Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tungsten Baptist Church "Youth Group" P.O. Box 703 Henderson, NC 27536.
