Ronald Dan "Danny" Grissom, Jr. 51, of Henderson, N.C. died Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his home.

Born in Halifax County, VA, he was the son of Susan Arnold Grissom and Ronald Dan Grissom Sr.

Danny was a member of Popular Creek Baptist Church and was a member of Southern Vance Bass Master's.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Creek Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Nate Roten. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and for all other times will meet at the home of Melissa Grissom, 117 Burwell Ave. Henderson, NC 27536.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife and soul mate of thirty years, Melissa Orr Grissom; two daughters, Amber Rucker (Jeremiah) and Kathryn Simmons; two grandchildren, Ameerah Rucker and Lillyann Rucker; one brother, Scott Grissom (Peyton), one sister, Kelly Roten (Nate), along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 946 W. Andrews Ave. Suite S Henderson, N.C. 27536.
