Rose P Whirley
Rose Marie Puckett Whirley 72, formally of Oxford, NC passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Duke University Hospital.
Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Macy Allen Puckett and Rosa Belle Keeton Puckett.
Rose was of the Baptist faith.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford Chapel. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Whirley (Colleen Edmisten); one sister-in-law, Carolyn Puckett; two nieces, Jennifer Hennessey and Dianna Hedgepeth; three nephews, Michael Puckett, Jonathan Tant and Adam Tant; as well as many other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Puckett, Ronnie Puckett and Lee Puckett.
The family will receive friends at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford on Friday one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
