Ruth Bobbitt Parrott 93, of Wilton, NC, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Cary.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Lemon Brooks Bobbitt and Florence Moss Bobbitt. She was the widow of Frank Edward Parrott Jr.

Ruth was the longest living member of Banks Methodist Church until her passing. She was a Wilton High School graduate and a 1953 graduate of East Carolina Teacher's College.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Banks Methodist Church. Conducted by Rev. Ray Gooch and Rev. Anita Carnes. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa P Howard (Woody) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Angela Parrott of Wake Forest, NC; one grandchild, Ashley M Kiser (Tony) of Fuquay Varina, NC; one great grandchild, Kennedy M Kiser; as well as other extended family members. In addition to her parents, and her husband of sixty-five years, she was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Bobbitt Jackson.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
