Sadie P. Strum

Sadie Pendergrass Strum 78, of Henderson, NC died Friday, July 19, 2019 at a local nursing home.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Edward Pendergrass and Lee Allen West Pendergrass.

Mrs. Strum retired from R.B.C. Bank after thirty-four years.  She was a member of Gillburg United Methodist Church and attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.  Burial will follow in Gillburg United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Coen E. Strum, one daughter, Patricia S. Lentz (Tim), one son, Glenn D. Strum (Tonya); one sister, Dianne P. Pruitt (Calvin), three brothers, Phil Pendergrass (Carol), Bobby Pendergrass (Helen), and Danny Pendergrass (Shirley); six grandchildren, Zachary Lentz, Matthew Lentz, Brian Lentz, Brandon Strum (Jessica), Chandler Owen, and Chesley Reisch (Michael), and four great-grandchildren, Jace Strum, Camden Owen , Brison Hayes, and Conner Hayes.

The famil y will receive friends Monday, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.  All other times, they will be at the home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Strum, Chandler Owen, Matthew Lentz, Brian Lentz, Allen Pendergrass, Keith Pruitt, Chuck Pendergrass, and Junior Thomas.
