Obituary

Sally Bailey Bragg, 81, a longtime resident of Wake County passed away on April 1, 2025 surrounded by her family.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Walter B. Bragg Jr. and N. Doris Bragg. She was preceded in death by brother, Larry B. Bragg; sister Nora B. Harrington; nephew Paul Harrington; and great-nephew Kyle Hines. She was a member of Banks United Methodist Church.

A graduate of Meredith College and UNC Chapel Hill, she passionately dedicated her 30+ year career as a Wake County Principal to educate and promote the well-being of children. Her other great passions were her family, Duke Basketball, feeding the birds, and working in her yard.

Surviving are her nieces, Julieanne Harrington; Mollie (Shawn) Cressey; Joanna Bragg; great-nephew Jeffrey Kramer; great-niece Samantha (Jacob) Dale; great-nephew Nikolas Pierce; great-nieces Hailey Naumow and Nina Cressey; great-nephews Alex Naumow and Colton Cressey; great-great nephew Banks Dale; and family friend Tom Fowler.

She was blessed to have many friends and was particularly appreciative of her years of friendship with Caroline Massengill, Trish Ball, Susan and Jim Denning, and Billie Watson.

Memorial services will be conducted by Rev. Ray Gooch on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Banks United Methodist Church:

2632 NC Highway 96, Franklinton, NC 27525. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
