Samuel "Sammy" Thomas Parrott Jr., 79, of Creedmoor passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at his home.

Born in Granville County on May 4, 1943, he was the son of the late Samuel Thomas Parrott Sr. and Irene Aurora Whitfield Parrott.

Sammy was a member of Banks Methodist Church and Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Banks Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Rachel Davis Parrott; one daughter, Wendi Parrott Yancey (Franklin); one son, Samuel "Sam" Thomas Parrott III (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Nicolas Yancey, Dylan Yancey, Claire Yancey (Hunter), Hannah Parrott (Jonathan) and Emma Parrott; four sisters-in-law, Marion Herndon (Joe), Kathleen Tyner, Betty Nobels and Paula Bodenheimer (Chip); one brother-in-law, Edward Davis; two sisters, Lillian Gray and Lucy Hobgood and many cousins and extended family members. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Marie Craig and one brother-in-law, Everette Davis.
