Sandra Wheless Edwards, 66, of Durham and formerly of Butner, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Durham County on February 21, 1958, she was the daughter of the late William Alva Wheless and Adell Green Glover.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor. Reverend Johnny Yount will officiate.
Survivors include one son, Brian West (Michelle); three grandchildren, Kayla West, Hannah West and William West; two brothers, Gary Wheless (Diane) and William "Bill" Wheless; her dog, "Yogi" and numerous nieces and extended family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Chris West; one sister, Sharon Brown and one brother, Ronald Wheless.
