Shirley H Woodlief

Shirley Hicks Woodlief – 73 of Henderson, NC passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late George Rufus Hicks and Katie Norwood Hicks.

Shirley was a longtime member of Raleigh Road Baptist Church and was a retired Office Manager with Family Eye Center in Henderson.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Island Creek Baptist Church. Conducted by the Rev. John Gupton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Wade McGee Woodlief; one daughter, Heather Satterwhite Brame (Greg); three grandchildren, Matthew Brame, Hailey Brame and Kristen Honaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristy Kay Honaker; and one brother, George Lee Hicks.

The family will receive friends in the Island Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on the day of the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home.

Pallbearers will be Greg Brame, Matthew Brame, Jeff Jones, Steve Lyles, Mike Roberson and Kelly Vinson.
