Stephen F. Pearson

Stephen Frank Pearson, 57, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Durham, NC.

Born in England, he was the son of Barbara Sybil Pearson, and the late Alan Richard Pearson.

Graduating from Monte Vista High School in 1981, he then enlisted in the Army in 1983 , where he would then become the first Web Master for the Army . He retired from the Army in 2003. He was a Mason, and also a member of the Order of the Marechavssee .

Some of his other major achievements was earning his Doctor of Global Business Leadership Degree in June of 2019, writing many forensic books, and was a masters level professor at Utica College, and the University of Chapel Hill.

Mr. Pearson was the owner of HTCI, TFS, Pearson's Holdings, and Sadie's Coffee Corner .

Surviving are his wife Amanda Catherine Pearson; two daughters, Tanika Larei -dawn E lkins, and Mickayla Anne Pearson; one son, Corey Alan Pearson; two granddaughters, Zaniah La'Shay Mclean, and Giana Brianne Douglas; four grandsons, Giovanni Aleander Todd, Kamari Alan Pearson , Gabriel Lorenzo Todd, and Jahzir Shellie Long; and one sister, Elizabeth Anne Phipps. Alongside his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Simon Richard Pearson, and a nephew, Timothy Richard Phipps.

A memorial service with Military Honors and Masonic Rights, will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Ronald Cava.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service, are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.

The memorial service will be live-streamed via the Sossamon Funeral Home Facebook Page. For those who do not have access to Facebook, the service will be uploaded here onto this obituary page.
