Susie Henley Preddy, 93, of the Wilton Community, died Monday, May 20th, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born in Granville County, on June 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Foster Henley and Rosa Ball Henley. She was the devoted wife of the late Bobby Lee Preddy.

Susie was a homemaker, caregiver, and was retired from Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. She was a long-time member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Franklinton. Susie was dedicated to caring for her family, friends, and neighbors. No one left her home hungry or in need of anything she could provide for them. She worked tirelessly and loved her family dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Judy Boyd and Mildred Williamson. Susie was survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a very special aunt to her nephews, Ronnie Boyd (Shelia) and Donnie Boyd (Joy); her niece Joyce McFalls (Scottie); her great nephews, Brandon Williamson (Jennifer); Hunter Boyd (Kristen); Dylan McFalls; her great nieces, Destiny McFalls; Shannon Adcock (David); Taylor Riggan (Brandon); Madison Boyd and Leigha Boyd. Her great great nieces and nephews, Layla and Brynlee Williamson, Hailey and Tyler Crowder; Harper and Landon Adcock; Lucas and Paisley McFalls; Myles Riggan; Avery and Abram Boyd.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert Henley, Willie Henley, and Edgar Henley; three sisters, Barbara Young, Marie Bailey, and Patricia Goss.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 2pm at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Franklinton, N.C. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:30 until 1:45 and at all other times at the home of Judy Boyd.
