Susie Anna Peoples Vick, 98, of Henderson, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Junious Goodwin Peoples and Hattie Robertson Peoples.

Mrs. Vick was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Young at Heart Club.

Surviving are one son, David Vick (Stephanie); one grandson, Chris Vick (Crystal); two great-grandchildren, Noah Vick and Callie Vick; one sister,  Grace O'Geary (Pete); and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Alongside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Vick; one grandson, Chad Vick; two brothers, Norwood Peoples, and Edwin Peoples; and six sisters, Hattie Ranes, Ethel Clark, Clara Abbott, Louise Reynolds, Katherine Shinkle, and Myrtle White.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the Dunmore House of Henderson, as well to her loving caregivers, Beverly, Gloria, Cindy, Latoya, Kenzie, Alicia, DeDe, Lakyjah, and Alphonso, and her very special friends Jean Harris, Vera Caulder, Ted Bowen, and Shirley Hoyle.

A private graveside funeral service will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Gardens conducted by Rev. Eddie Nutt.

In lieu of flowers & food, memorial donations may be made to North Henderson Baptist Church.
