Sylvia Pulliam Patterson, 68, of Oxford passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at WakeMed-Raleigh.
Born in Granville County on August 29, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Rommie Franklin Pulliam and Gertrude Wynn Thomas Pulliam.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Oxford. Rev. Johnny Yount and Pastor Eddie Mauldin will officiate. Interment will follow at Stovall Town Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-seven years, Joe Patterson; four sons, Chris Talley (Marianna), Jason Tucker, Daniel Patterson (Christie) and Matthew Patterson (Darla); eight grandchildren, Caleb Talley, Layla Talley, Gracie Tucker, Elijah Tucker, Dawson Patterson (Makayla), Haley Patterson, Kayleigh Patterson and Sam Patterson; one great granddaughter, Blakelynn Patterson; two sisters, Patricia Setzer (Dale) and Tammy Overby (Bobby) and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Ramsey, Betty Williamson and Nancy Wilson and two brothers, Rommie Pulliam Jr. and David Pulliam.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford.
