Terry Eugene Edwards

Terry Eugene Edwards, 68, of Henderson, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, from complications of COPD.

Terry was a graduate of Vance Senior High School and a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Edwards career as a public servant consisted of a Franklin County Deputy, Vance County EMT and a Vance County Fire Fighter. Terry was also owner/operator of the convenience store Terry & Jerrys Grill in Henderson.

Mr. Edwards was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 49 years, an avid fisherman and musician. He was a recognized long-time blood donor as he donated 400 units of blood, a lifetime donation of 50 gallons of blood for which he received a gold medallion.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Haines Edwards, his son, Floyd William Edwards, two grandchildren, Cheltsey Lea Edwards and William Finley Edwards and one sister, Sandra Faulkner. In addition to his immediate family Terry is also survived by extended family which includes five brothers, one sister and a mother on his wife's side who loved him dearly.  He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, his grandparents, Floyd W. Edwards and Helen G. Edwards, his biological parents, Gene Wilson and Ruby Wilson and a twin brother, Jerry Wilson.

The family will welcome friends at Sossamon Funeral Home for a celebration of life and service, Saturday, January 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson.
