Theodore (Teddy) Brantley Bennett, 79, of Creedmoor, NC, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026

Born in Durham County, NC, he was the son of the late Walter J. Bennett, Jr. and Lillie B. Veasey Bennett.

In 1964, Teddy graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He served in the NC National Guard and as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Creedmoor Volunteer Fire Department and the Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He retired from GTE/Frontier as an Installer/Technician with 30 years of service and from Creedmoor Fuel Service following 26 years of employment.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Camilla; a brother, Gary (Cathy); brother-in-law, Darrell Royster (Diane); nephew, Eric Royster (Julie); niece, Ashley Keith (Trey); grand-nephews, a grand-niece, and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy, and his nephew, Jim.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Sossaman Funeral Home in Creedmoor.

The family will receive family and friends one hour (1:00 – 2:00 pm) prior to the service at the funeral home.
