Theodore U. Eaves

Theodore Upchurch Eaves, 79, of Henderson, NC died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Maria Parham Health.

Born In Vance County, he was the son of the late Robert Edgar Eaves Sr. And Mary Elma Ayscue Eaves. He was the widower of Lois Gardner Eaves.

Mr. Eaves retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served for twenty years and was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Richardson, Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. David Barnett. Burial, with military honors will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Tony Eaves (Amy), Keith Eaves (Tracey) and Mike Eaves (Cheryl); one brother, Thomas S. Eaves; seven grandchildren, Brandon Eaves, Jordan Holmes, Daniel Eaves, Joshua Eaves, Summer Jessup, Carleigh Eaves and Tyler Eaves; two great-grandchildren, Gage Perry and Colston Paxson. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Vernice Smithwick, Agnus Finch, Ora Currin, Elizabeth Kittrell and Ruth Brame, and four brothers, Joseph B. Eaves, Robert Eaves Jr., Ralph M. Eaves and Bryant G. Eaves.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. All other times, they will be at his home.

Serving as active pall bearers will be Derrill Reaves, Hunter Paxson, David Batton, Brian Holmes, Tom Eaves, Mike Cotter and Russell Wahrman. Honorary pall bearers will be Greg Jones, James Eaves, Tyler Eaves and Anthony Marable.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project 1990 Fordham Dr. Suite 100 Fayetteville, NC 28304.
