Theresa DiRaffaele Henderson, 79, of 209 Country Lake Dr., Henderson passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Born in Raleigh, NC she was the daughter of the late John DiRaffaele and Luna Mae Ellis DiRaffaele.

She was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Henderson.

She was a retired office administrator with the North Carolina Department of Insurance.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Gardens in Henderson. Dr. Donnie Perkinson will officiate.

Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Grissom (Paul) of Henderson and Karen Johnson of Willow Spring; one grandson, Ryan Grissom; her fiancé and sweetheart, John M. Pitchford, Sr.; two step-sons, Darryl Henderson and Dale Henderson; and numerous step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Henderson and her brother, John DiRaffaele, Jr.
