Thomas Boyd Clark, 83, of Rougemont passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at his home.
Born in Granville County on November 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Walter Boyd Clark and Mary Fannie O'Brien.
Boyd was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a Mason and Shriner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Reverends Keith Williams, Tim Atkinson and William Wheeler will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Langdon (Charles) and her son, Thomas Evans, and Mary Jo Clark; one nephew, William D. Clark (Jennifer); one cousin, Sammy O'Brien; two granddogs, Dutchess Mae and Sadie Mae and his beloved cat, Molly Mae. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Briggs Clark and one brother, William Allen Clark.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford and other times at the home of Susan Langdon.
Pallbearers for the service will be Albert Durham, Buddy Durham, William Clark, Ronald Adcock, Gary Baird and Scott Baird.
