Thomas Willis Floyd, Sr., 100, of Henderson, NC. and died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at his home.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Lilah Elizabeth Buchanan Floyd and Frank Porter Floyd.  He was the widower of Ruby Pearl Moss Floyd.

Mr. Floyd was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church and was a Lifetime Deacon at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church; also, he was a former School Board member at the former Aycock School and was a former member of the Ruritan Club.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tim Burgess and family members.

Surviving is one daughter, Susan Floyd Fletcher, and three sons, T.W. Floyd Jr. (Elaine), Gerald Floyd (Donna) and Dean Floyd (Teresa); four grandchildren, Seth Floyd (Elana), Franklin Floyd (Rebeccah), Gerry Floyd (Heather) and Colton Floyd (Tory) and ten great-grandchildren, Gentry Floyd, Graham Floyd, Monroe Floyd, Thomas Floyd, Leigha Floyd, Paul Floyd, Abigail Floyd, Jonathan Floyd, Hannah Floyd and Asher Floyd.  Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Greg Floyd, a son-in-law, Steve Fletcher, and a daughter-in-law, Teen Floyd.

The family will receive friends on Thursday following the service at the church.
