Tommy Lee Lassiter, 79, of Henderson, NC died peacefully at his home on January 9, 2026 at 11:30am surrounded by his family.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Joseph W. Lassiter ("Buck") and Estelle Edwards Lassiter.

Tommy was retired from the former Roses Stores Inc., where he worked in the computer room for more than 35 years.

A celebration of life will be held at Fuller's Chapel in Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue on Monday, January 12 at 2:00. The family will receive friends following the service.

Surviving is his wife, Deborah Pulley Lassiter, his daughter, Michelle Foster (Chris), his son, Kevin Lassiter (Gayla); three grandchildren, Hannah Hodge (Seth), Neil Lassiter, and Holden Foster. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his step son, Donald Riggan; four sisters: Helen Franklin, Jennie Sue Daniels, Kathleen Roberson, and Rebecca Overby, and one brother, J.T. Lassiter.
