Vera Frances Setzer, 79, of Greensboro passed away Thursday August 28, 2025, at Linden Place Center for Nursing and Rehab.

Born in Bertie County, on January 8, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Ray Ervin Setzer and Mary Strange Setzer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson, conducted by Jamie Elliott.

Survivors include one daughter, April Setzer (Marquel Roberts); five grandsons, Khalil Setzer, Jerouse Roberts, August Roberts, Bernard Setzer Jr. "B.J." and Johnathan Setzer; five granddaughters, Shy'neice Adams, Jasmine Setzer, Kellie Setzer, Emani Setzer and Mikah Shafferner; four siblings, Hilda Smallwood, Bennett Setzer, Ervin Setzer and Frankie "Patsy" Setzer; one niece, Debbie Rochelle; two nephews, Jonathan Walker and Timothy Walker; one great niece, Emily Walker; one great nephew, Josiah Walker; and one daughter-in-law, Alieah Setzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bernard Kelly Setzer Sr and two brothers-in-law, Freddie Smallwood and Ray Walker.
