Vicki Carol Weary Hobgood, 76, of Butner, NC passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home.

Born in Durham County on August 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Al Weary and Hazel Elizabeth Cash Weary.

Vicki retired from the City of Durham after fourteen years and from the state after twenty-five years of service. She was passionate about her animals and had an unconditional love for her family.

No services are planned at this time.

Survivors include one daughter, Tracey P. Blackmon; one son, Gery Pope Jr.; four grandchildren, Justin Pope, Zachery Pope, Kyle Blackmon, and Harleigh Keith; five great-grandchildren, Branson Pope, Charliegh Pope, Zaxton Pope, Persephone Pope, and Sophia Blackmon; and one sister, Linda Thompson (Kenny). I addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Gary Pope Sr. and Alfred Hobgood.
