Virginia Minor, 85, of Butner NC went into the arms of the Lord Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Born May 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Azzie Little.  She was the widow of Bryant Minor.

Virginia had a heart of gold and loved to serve others. After retiring from Murdoch Center, she became a Red Cross Disaster Relief Volunteer with her late husband Bryant. They served on countless assignments, including the 911 disaster in New York and many Hurricane Disaster Relief assignments including Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana/Florida. Virginia was always eager to help anyone in need, no matter how great the personal sacrifices. She always put others first. She was a true servant of God.

She was a devoted Christian and an active member of First Baptist Church where she was so happy to share the word of God with her closest friends. She was a beacon of light with a genuine love for everyone, even a total stranger.  She possessed a contagious "Joy for Life" and loved to laugh and lift the spirits of anyone in her presence. She never parted ways with anyone without telling them she loved them. We mourn the loss of a great mother, friend and true angel on Earth.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Butner at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor James Shelley.

Virginia is survived by her children Bob Loving (Cheryl), Barry Loving (Missy) and Beverly Byrd (Chris), 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister Rachel Dry.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Butner.
