Virginia H. Wade

Virginia Hayes Wade, 89, of Henderson, NC died Monday, January 31, 2022 at a local nursing home.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Hayes and Anna Belle Wynn Hayes.  She was the widow of Walter Lee Wade Sr.

Mrs. Wade retired from Burlington Industries Inc. After her retirement, she enjoyed keeping children in her home.  She was a long-time member of Hermon United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., at Hermon United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tabitha Pate and the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Wanda W. Brame (Brooks) and Jane Williams (Danny), one son, Walter Lee Wade Jr. (Kathy); one sister, Sue Capps (John); twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Dale Wade and a son, Tony Martin Wade and three brothers.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., in the church fellowship hall.  All other times, they will be at her home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Greg Brame, Kevin Wade, Anthony Wade, Chad Wade, Blake Wade, Alan Newman, Randy Ellis and Mikey Doody.
