Vivian Williams Howard, 88, of Kittrell, NC passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of Lee Roy Williams Sr. and Margaret Harris Williams. At the age of fourteen, her mother died, and her father married Pauline Short Williams, who helped raise Vivian.  She was the widow of Arthur B. Howard Jr.

Mrs. Howard was a former salesperson with Friedman's Jewelry and was a member of Christian Cathedral Church in Thomasville, NC and she attended the Eastside Baptist Church in Henderson, NC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Eastside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael Grant

Surviving is a daughter, Corinne Howard (Pete), a sister, Rosa Lee Twisdale, and several nieces and nephews and extended family members.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Eugene Journigan Jr, a sister, Linda Faucette and three brothers, James Lee Williams Sr, Marvin Lewis Williams and Lee Roy Williams Jr.
