Wiley M Autry

Wiley Melvin "Mickey" Autry of Stem NC was born December 21, 1933 in Harnett County NC to Wiley Murdoch Autry and Nell Cornelius Coleman.  Never a man of many words no one ever left his presence without a wave and hearing him say "Go Easy!"  His journey became easy October 27, 2023.

He and Mary Mae Johnson started 71 years of wedded bliss September 6, 1952.  They raised 3 girls: Renee Autry of Stella NC, Tammy (Gary Joe) Jones of Oxford NC, Joelle (Glenn) Preddy of Wilton NC, and have 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

All "his girls" would describe him as a real-life cowboy.  He lived and loved the rodeo life spending more than 50 years serving the southeast as a livestock handler.  The last years of his life he fought the good fight.  Not one to complain he always reported he was still kicking, but not real high.
