William W. Cash Sr.

William Wayne Cash Sr., 75, of Henderson, NC died Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his home.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late James Samuel Cash and Juanita Champion Cash.

Mr. Cash was a member of Crystal River Church of God.  He loved fishing, camping, and playing video games.  He had a special love for his family and his dog "Lexie."

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Crystal River Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Ray Anderson.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is his wife of forty-seven years, Shelia Roberson Cash; three daughters, Juanita Cash, Carrie Cash (Joe) and Jamie Gupton (Stephen), one son, William Wayne Cash Jr. (Melonie); four grandchildren, Shane Ayscue, Damon Doolittle, Kayla Cash, and Meaghan Gupton; one sister, Mary Lee Longmire, two brothers, Roy Cash and Randy Cash and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by, three sisters, Rebecca Allen, Dot Newton and Annie Cox, and four brothers, Junior Cash, Walter Cash, Joe Cash and Howard Cash.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at Crystal River Church of God.  All other times, they will be at his home.

Serving as pall bearers will be James Cash, Hunter Cash, Roy Allen, William Allen Cash, Damon Doolittle and Timothy Roberson.  Honorary pall bearers will be Corporal Bryce Roberson, Tom Wrenn and Shane Ayscue.
