Alexander H. Tippett
Alexander Hamilton Tippett, 73, of Henderson, NC (in the Epsom community) died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Henry Crawford and Margaret Hedgepeth Tippett. He was the widower of Patsy Hendley Tippett.
Mr. Tippett was the owner and operator of Alexs Garage. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at New Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Jonathan Owens. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia T. Campbell (Durwood) and Danielle T. Pulley (Eric); six sisters, Elizabeth Tippett, Katie Louise Wood, Shelby Goodwin (Johnny), Mary Ray (Millard), Helen Inman (Charlie), and Dorothy Woodlief (Benny); four brothers, William Tippett (Shirley), Roy Tippett (Jean), James Tippett (Rhonda), and Frank Tippett (Gail); and eight grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Baby Boy Tippett and Charlie Tippett.
The family will receive friends at the home of Virginia and Durwood Campbell, 8437 NC Highway 39 South, Henderson.
