Ellie M. Bradsher

Ellie Mitchell Bradsher of Oxford died July 29, 2021 at the age of 84. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Bradsher, Jr. Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of Willie Zachariah Mitchell, Jr and Ellie Blalock Currin Mitchell.

A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford. Conducted by the Rev. Alan Koeneke.

Ellie is survived by her children, Mariana Bradsher Davis and Robert Sutton Bradsher, III; son-in-law, Richard Anthony Davis, IV, daughter-in-law, Victoria Patterson Bradsher; and grandchildren, Richard Anthony Davis, V, Parkins Bradsher Davis, and Cara Elisabeth Bradsher.

Ellie was a graduate of Oxford High School and Salem College. She and her husband ran Mitchell Insurance Agency in Oxford for 40 years, serving insurance customers and preparing tax returns. She was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and very much appreciated her friends there.

Ellie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Kerr Lake and even more so when cruising around on a boat. She liked listening to people and hearing what they were up to. She always looked forward to attending church, playing bridge, attending her club meetings, and going to the YMCA for water aerobics.
